What the Victorians Did for Us

In the year 2000 the BBC aired the six part series What the Romans Did for Us, a series which examined the innovations which were brought about by the Romans and still benefit British society today, the series was hugely popular and it resulted in several other series which adopted a similar theme but covering a different period of time.

What the Victorians Did for Us is an eight episode 2001 series which examines social, scientific and technological progress in the Victorian era which followed the Industrial Revolution. The series was followed in 2002 by the series What the Tudors Did for Us.
