A fascinating 1993 PBS television documentary directed by Anand Tucker which follows the attempts of ex-journalist Mike Marley to break into the lucrative boxing industry with confident newcomer Shannon Biggs (Let’s go Champ!) and in the process provides an insight into the murkier side of the worlds toughest sport. The film also features Dan Duva, well known promoter of heavyweight champ Evander Holyfield.
The film includes interviews with Holyfield, Bob Arum, Larry Holmes, and an appearance from the legendary Muhammad Ali. There is a surprising lack of discussion about this film online and only 66,000 views on YouTube as of April 2017 for a film uploaded in May 2013, surprising because its such an excellent documentary on the subject.
