A 1995 biographical documentary about Mike Kelly, a notorious underworld figure and security firm boss from Limerick in Ireland. The film looks at his background and upbringing and Kelly himself talks a lot about the role alcohol had in his descent into violence and criminality. The documentary was made by RTE and screened on Irish national television.
He subsequently straightened out and started a legitimate security business, seeking redemption by involving himself in community projects including coaching a local kids football team in an effort to try and help local kids avoid the life of crime that he followed. He later became a local politician before dying in tragic circumstances in 2004. Kelly died of a gunshot wound, with the official verdict being suicide but his own brother suspecting murder due to recent death threats having been received.
