Small Town Ecstasy is a 2002 TV documentary following a family from a small town in Northern California. It revolves around a 40 year old man named Scott, recently divorced with four young kids. He is having a mid-life crisis and found ecstasy.
The film was highly controversial as Scott loved the drug so much that he wanted to share the experience with three of his children, and proceeded to give them each an ecstasy pill, they were aged just 13, 15 and 18 years of age and the event was broadcast on national television.
In an update on the HBO forums a poster purporting to be a close relative of Scott claimed that he had since stopped using the drug, as had his children, and that they were all doing well in life.
