Courtney Love is most famous for being the widow of Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain, and she will always be most famous for that reason thanks mainly to ongoing conspiracy theories which allege that she’d played a role in her husbands death, but she was and still is a successful and capable music artist in her own right. She was involved in numerous music projects throughout the 1980’s, and in 1989 formed the band Hole.
The Return of Courtney Love is a 2006 documentary which gains access to the life of Courtney Love at the time she was recording her second studio album as a solo artist, a follow up to her first disastrous album which she claimed was ruined by her drug abuse. After covering her progression with the album the focus switches to her relationship with Kurt Cobain and features some never before seen private home footage of the pair. Interestingly the second album was never released, although a fourth Hole album was released in 2010.
