Punk Football

Punk Football is a 2013 documentary on FC United of Manchester, a non-league football club created by disillusioned Manchester United fans who were opposed to the takeover of Manchester United by American businessman Malcolm Glazier, as well as with the gross commercialization of their club and of the football industry in general.

The club is owned by its supporters and run democratically as a co-operative. Among the clubs policies are a cap of 45% of stadium capacity being allocated to season ticket holders, no sponsorship allowed on the team shirts, and ticket prices being decided by a fans committee. The club has progressed up the footballing pyramid and is currently just two divisions away from the professional leagues in the English system.
