Giant Pandas are on the critically endangered list, and unlike most other endangered species it isn’t due to hunting or human related ecological damage. Pandas just have huge problems breeding in the wild, and it isn’t much easier to breed them in captivity. Without human intervention to assist them in breeding they would probably have already died out as a species.

Panda Babies is a 2015 ITV documentary which sees British vet Steve Leonard travel over 5000 miles to China to go behind the scenes at three major panda reserves to examine the efforts of conservationists to increase the panda population, he watches several panda babies grow up and also witnesses the moment a precious new panda is born.
