Louis Theroux heads to Thailand as part of his Weird Weekends series to explore the phenomenon of Western men heading to the country to find a younger bride, he visits an agency which attempts to arrange marriages between white Western men and Thai women and meets several British men who are in the process of trying to find a Thai bride.
In Looking for Love (2002) Theroux takes a light hearted approach, as he typically did in his Weird Weekends series, but the resulting documentary is also thought provoking and evokes some feeling of empathy towards the lonely men looking for companionship.
