How The Rich Live Longer

Published on 27th March 2018 by

People in some wealthy areas of the UK are living on average 18 years longer than people in some poor areas, and in this 2015 Channel 4 documentary Dr Christian Jessen seeks to investigate the reasons behind this and explores a high-end healthcare industry which specialises in helping people with lots of money to live longer by offering a range of apparently life-extending services.

It ultimately boils down to those who have wealth being able to pay for superior medical treatments, despite the country having a national health service, although other factors including nature of work and quality of diet do of course contribute. Some of the treatments paid for appear to be complete nonsense however. When you have finished watching stick around and explore more health documentaries.
