A 2006 Four Corners documentary about the Exclusive Brethren Christian sect in Australia. More than half of the global members of that cult-like group live in Australia and New Zealand. The film makers meet with people who have left the church after having been brought up inside it, they tell how leaving the church can mean never seeing your family again.
The Exclusive Brethren church was also previously big in the UK and was featured in a 2003 BBC documentary entitled The Exclusive Brethren, that too told stories of former members expelled and the isolated by the church for having had contact with the outside world. The group has since shrunk in size considerably in the UK, down from 15000 members to just a few thousand.
