How Drugs Work is a 2011 three part BBC series, each episode investigated the science behind how different drugs worked. In this third and final episode they used CGI to demonstrate how cocaine works on the body to create the highs and the lows. The film follows three cocaine users on nights out and uses computer graphics to journey inside their brains and bodies.

Cocaine is the most widely used Class A drug in the UK and whilst many use it recreationally without major problems, others suffer life-changing consequences. One of the people to feature in the program is a 17 year old who was fitted with a pacemaker after having a heart attack caused by the drugs consumption. The first episode in the series explored marijuana, and the second episode looked at ecstasy.
