Published on 3rd February 2016 by

Don King is a legendary American boxing promoter, famous for his involvement in some of the biggest boxing events in history including The Rumble in the Jungle and the Thrilla in Manila, and for promoting some of the biggest names in boxing including Joe Frazier, Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, and Mike Tyson. He has built an estimated net worth of $150 million. He is however also a highly controversial figure.

Don King, Unauthorized, is an expose style 1991 PBS frontline documentary which sheds light on Don King’s murky past including his mob connections, racketeering and his violent past in Ohio where he kicked a man to death (led to a manslaughter conviction). King is alleged to have conned many people out of money, including some of his own boxers. Watch more boxing documentaries here.
