Britain was once famous for being a nation of tea drinkers, but coffee has been booming since the major coffee shop brands began to take off in the 1990’s and now millions are hooked – spending up to £2000 per year on their Americano’s, espressos, and latte’s. The industry thrived even through the major recession which followed the last financial crisis.
