Calzaghe: The Prince of Wales

A documentary (release year, estimated 1999) about Welsh boxing legend Joe Calzaghe who was unbeaten in all 46 of his professional fights jn a 15 year long career and became a two weight World Champion, he unified the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and Ring Magazine belts at super-middleweight. Calzaghe was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2014.

The film tells the story of his early life in a deprived part of Wales and his eventual rise to greatness, the boxing promoter Frank Warren has regularly said that Calzaghe is the best fighter he has worked with (despite having overseen the career of Prince Naseem Hamed). Features contributions from various people connected with Calzaghe including Welsh international footballers Craig Bellamy and Gary Speed who were both friends of the fighter.
