Stacey Dooley investigates domestic violence in the UK in this 2015 BBC TV documentary, part of her ‘Stacey Dooley Investigates’ series. She questions both victims and abusers to try and understand the deep issues which surround domestic abuse for both survivors and those currently experiencing abuse in their relationship. UK police forces receive a domestic violence related 999 call every 60 seconds on average.
Dooley also follows the Lancashire police force as they deal with domestic abuse reports, the Lancashire force sees 9000 reports of domestic violence per year in a county with a population of around 1.2 million.
