Apocalypse: The Second World War

A six part French documentary by Daniel Costelle and Isabelle Clarke which was first aired in 2009 which tells the story of the second world war solely using actual footage of the war as filmed by war correspondents, soldiers, and civilians. Most of the footage was originally shot in black and white but later ‘colourised’ using modern techniques, some shots were originally shot in colour; the series has been aired in France, Belgium, the United States, United Kingdom and numerous other countries.
