Every year millions of people in the United Kingdom attempt to lose weight, usually by altering their diet. Most of them fail and the UK has become one of the fattest countries in the world. 10 Things You Need to Know About Losing Weight is a 2009 documentary by television presenter and author Michael Mosley, it explores the latest scientific breakthroughs pertaining to weight control and slimming and unveils the ten simplest ways to lose those extra pounds.
Mosley himself discovers in the course of making the documentary that he has too much internal body fat around his kidneys and liver that he could do with losing, despite not looking overweight from the outside, so he puts his tips to the test and succeeds in losing his desired amount of weight in the process. Mosley has produced several other diet related documentaries for the BBC, his best known is perhaps Eat, Fast and Live Longer (2012) in which he explores the theory that changing your eating patterns and introducing periods of fasting can help you to live for longer.
