Trumps Unlikely Superfans is a documentary transmitted by the BBC in the run up to the US Presidential Election in 2016, it focuses on some of the millions of people who had been inspired by Donald Trump’s rhetoric and promise to “make America great again”. Angela Scanlon meets with some of these Trump super fans in an attempt to understand why they support Trump and his controversial policies so passionately.

The supporters to feature include twin sisters who explain why they still support Trump despite allegations of sexism and frequent inappropriate comments about women, a Mexican-American who wants Trump to build a wall to reduce the number of Mexicans entering the country, and a young black American who argues that Trump is the answer to America’s economic problems.
