Popular documentary maker Stacey Dooley visits Kenya, a favourite destination for wealthy Western tourists looking for luxury all-inclusive holidays, to investigate the darker side of the tourism industry where the hotel workers are paid a pittance with no employment rights.

She cuts through the bullshit to visit the villages of the workers to see their working conditions and meets a group of protesting employees who have been sacked by a resort hotel without receiving pay that they were owed for work done. This is the side of tourism that the customer doesn’t see. Dooley confronts both hotel owners and the Kenyan Minister for Tourism about the working conditions.
