A 1997 Channel 4 documentary about a huge political scandal which got covered up in the UK. It starts by showing a set of 1963 photographs which showed an unusual friendship between Conservative peer Lord Boothby and Ronnie Kray, as well as a Labour cabinet minister and a young boy. Rumours of the connections between powerful politicians and underworld figures reached Fleet Street but the political establishment rallied around the peer and the national newspapers were forced to withdraw stories relating to the tryst.
The documentary explores rumours that Ronnie Kray would procure young boys for gay politicians, including Boothby and Tom Drigberg the Labour minister. The scandal was hushed up by the Labour party and Conservative party who colluded to suppress the story.
