Royal Marines: Behind Enemy Lines is a 1985 BBC documentary series which follows the progress of 25 prospective members of the elite Royal Marines, in order to become a marine they have to undertake military training which is amongst the most intensive and comprehensive in the world. During the course of their training they have to endure tough conditions on a Hebridean Island and Artic conditions in Norway. The documentary was hugely popular at the time of transmission and has become a classic since it found its way back online.

The BBC later produced a one-off follow up programme, Behind The Lines: Ten Years On, but that is not currently available to watch online.
