A not-for-profit 2012 documentary directed by Brett Gregory which explores the contemporary independent music scene in Manchester at the beginning of the 21st century. The film features contributions and music from numerous up-and-coming bands from the city as well as other key figures in the scene.
Manchester has churned out dozens of world famous bands including the Stone Roses, Oasis and The Smiths, but this documentary focuses on the future of the music scene instead of constantly talking about the past. It features over 40 up and coming artists who together form part of the nucleus of the cities independent music scene.
This film is a Serious Feather production, the organisation has also produced documentaries which look at the music scenes in a couple of other cities, watch Iceland: Beyond Sigur Ros and Liverpool: Beyond The Beatles.
