Google, or rather its new name ‘Alphabet’, recently offically became the worlds biggest company by market value (not by revenue, but by value of company determined by share value). Some two million people per year apply for a position at Google, it has become one of the most highly desired places of work on the planet (perhaps rivaled only by banking giants like Goldman Sachs?). For a long time however Google was a subject of much intrigue and secrecy.
Inside Google is a 2010 Nat Geo documentary which was granted access to Google offices in Russia, China, and the famous Googleplex HQ in Silicon Valley. It explores the companies unique corporate philosophy and what the company is like from the inside. Another interesting documentary on Google’s corporate philosophy is Inside The Mind of Google (2009), as well as the early documentary The Google Boys (2005).
