A 2004 BBC television series which records Michael Palin’s six month trip around the Himalaya mountain range area, the trip covered just 3,000 miles horizontally but took so long to complete because it involved extensive vertical travelling. The highest point reached by Palin was the Everest base camp, 5300 meters above sea level.
