Heroin: The Next Generation is an award winning documentary about the various forms of heroin available on the drugs market in the United States. Little is known about this 90 minute film, and it has been said that it may have originally have been a US government funded project and distributed as an educational film. It can be considered modern propaganda as a result, but it is still interesting hearing the first hand accounts of various people who are recovering from heroin addiction.
It also shows you how a sheriff’s department in Arizona busted a major heroin trafficking ring. It is sensationalist, particularly as it predicts a new heroin epidemic, that didn’t really ever happen – American’s went on to discover crystal meth instead, those are the drugs which are in epidemic status.
