Heroin Nation is a 42 minute long Discovery Channel documentary (year unknown, possibly 2009?) which focuses on the murky underworld of heroin use in the USA, as seen through the eyes of law enforcement officers, heroin addicts and users, drug rehabilitation therapists, and scientists. The film was initially shown on the Discovery Channel and is now sold on DVD as an educational resource in the USA for grade levels 9 through to 12.

The show examines heroin use at a national level, from the way that it is smuggled into the country from across the border of Mexico to the effect that it is having on communities across the country from South to North. The episode followed a similar Discovery Channel programme which focused on cocaine, Cocaine Nation.
