Drugland: London is a 2005 BBC documentary which looks into an industry which employs 20,000 people in the city of London alone, some one in seven of the population purchasing their products over any given 12 month period. The class A drug industry.
For the first time on British television the drug dealers openly describe the details and tricks of their trade, disclose their profits, the risks of doing business and why they decided to go into the business. The dealers come from all different walks of life, some of them had university degrees, one of the dealers interviewed worked for a delivery service called ‘Dial-a-gram’. He’d decided to go into the business after losing his job not long after purchasing a house with a mortgage.
