British comedian Dom Joly goes on an adventure through Lebanon where he was born (Joly was born in Beirut to British parents) to Syria in an attempt to track down a cave where he had once done some graffiti when he was a kid. Fun Fact: Dom Joly attended the same school as Osama Bin Laden in Lebanon.
En-route to the Syrian caves he goes wine tasting in an area controlled by Hezbollah and has to dodge secret Syrian state police. He eventually finds the graffiti after much searching. Once you’ve watch this check out the Dom Joly’s Happy Hour series, in which he and his best friend travel the world to research the subject of alcohol consumption (in other words, get drunk in lots of bizarre situations with weird and wonderful people).
