Derry Detoxed is a one hour long 2015 documentary made by independent film maker Gavin Patton about the growing problem of substance abuse in the city of Derry / Londonderry, particularly among young adults. Patton himself is a recovering alcoholic and he produced the film to show that the city needed a new detox centre to help the many people in the local area who have a problem with alcohol or hard drugs.

Patton also started an online petition which gained in excess of 70,000 signatures pressuring the British government to intervene and give the go ahead to a new detox facility in the city. The documentary and the petition was given a lot of publicity by mainstream media outlets in Northern Ireland including The Belfast Telegraph and The Derry Journal.
