A 2011 Channel 4 documentary which tells the story of the doctors, nurses and paramedics who treated the injured in and around the World Trade Center on the morning of 9/11.
Thousands lost their lives on that tragic morning but there were also countless others of evacuated office workers and emergency services staff who were injured, some minor injuries and other major injures and burns. Many had life threatening injuries.
911 Emergency Room uses new footage and archived footage and tells the story, with testimony from people on the ground, of how lives were saved amidst the chaos. The HQ was the small Downtown Hospital in Manhattan, a facility which was more used to doing cosmetic procedures than major emergency surgery.
