Black Tar Heroin: The Dark End of the Street

Black tar was the main heroin strain found in that area during the 90s and the struggles of these five young adults with a life-destroying addiction are heartbreakingly real.

Daily, hourly, or minute-by-minute, these people just who are just beginning their adult lives face the devastating consequences that occur as the result of the disease of addiction. Prostitution, HIV, arrests, loss of friends, overdoses, and the needle exchange are all familiar pieces to the life puzzles of these heroin addicts as they become numb to existing while they stumble through each moment. Every part of life and every breath taken revolves around only one thing: Black Tar Heroin.
